Imagine No Malaria

tag

Imagine No Malaria is an extraordinary ministry of The United Methodist Church, putting faith into action to end preventable deaths by malaria in Africa,
especially the death of a child or a mother.

As a life saving ministry, Imagine No Malaria empowers the people of Africa to build capacity and infrastructure in order to overcome malaria’s burden with a comprehensive approach that includes;

 Prevention: Insecticide-treated mosquito nets are still the best way to prevent malaria, but we must go beyond nets. Actions like draining standing water where the insects breed, trimming foliage and proper sanitation, are also critical to preventing malaria. Think of Imagine No Malaria as nets plus!

Education: Training community health workers to be a grassroots network.

Treatment: Improving diagnosis, case management, and access to medication.

Behavior Change Communication: Making sure messages of prevention methods of net usage are delivered and received.
